Quiet time

It's a quiet time in this writers life, sorta. After peak at my mundane job as a customs broker (extra points to anyone who knows what kind of job that is) for FedEx Trade Networks, we were supposed to slow down. Sure, right, like that's ever going to happen. As team leader (read: assistant manager) I'm supposed to set a good example, but since my wife and I decided on a little weeken adventure coming up to Chicago I'm having a hard time concentrating. I'm down to two night side employees while another is in training for three weeks, and another is on vacation, so I'm again wearing two hats. Anyway, peak for us is from about mid november through last weak. I've been working my ass off at work and as a result my writing has suffered. Suffered? Shit, I haven't written a word in a week. Book three of Chronicles of the Chosen is stalled and worse, The Other Side of Tomorrow (the book I started to get my mind off Chosen) is also stalled. Crap. Hopefully a couple days of blowing money in Chi-town will kick it all loose.
